Target Information
Rabbit C-C Motif Chemokine Receptor 7 (CCR7) is a G protein-coupled receptor that plays a crucial role in immune cell migration and immune responses. It is expressed in various immune cells, including dendritic cells (DCs) and T cells, and mediates their migration to lymph nodes and inflamed tissues. CCR7 is essential for controlling the migration of memory T cells to inflamed tissues and stimulating dendritic cell maturation. This receptor is also involved in the activation and polarization of T cells, contributing to immune responses in both lymphoid organs and inflamed tissues. Additionally, CCR7 has been implicated in the regulation of T cell homeostasis in lymph nodes. Its ligands, such as CCL19 and CCL21, are important for linking innate and adaptive immunity. In rabbits, as in other mammals, CCR7 is vital for maintaining immune system function and responding to infections.
