Target Information
Rabbit Annexin A1 (ANXA1) is a multifunctional protein involved in various cellular processes. It is a member of the annexin family and plays a key role in anti-inflammatory responses by inhibiting the activity of cytosolic phospholipase A2 (PLA2) and modulating cytokine synthesis. In rabbits, ANXA1 is expressed in multiple tissues and is crucial for maintaining cellular integrity and regulating immune responses. It also helps in resolving inflammation by promoting apoptosis and facilitating the removal of apoptotic cells. Additionally, ANXA1 is involved in maintaining the integrity of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and has been implicated in cardiovascular functions, including blood pressure regulation. Its diverse functions make it a significant target for studying inflammatory diseases and potential therapeutic applications.
