Target Information

Pseudorabies virus glycoprotein B (gB) is a highly conserved, essential structural component embedded in the viral envelope of Suid alphaherpesvirus 1. It acts as a class III viral fusion protein, working alongside the gH/gL complex to mediate the critical fusion between the viral envelope and the host swine cell membrane. As a primary target for neutralizing antibodies, gB plays a pivotal role in inducing protective humoral immunity, making it a cornerstone antigen for vaccine development and diagnostic assays.
