Target Information
Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is the primary causative agent of porcine circovirus-associated disease (PCVAD) in pigs. This virus preferentially targets lymphoid tissues, leading to lymphoid depletion and immunosuppression. The virus's sole structural protein, known as Cap, contains its main antigenic regions.
