Target Information

Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha, a cytokine, interacts with TNFRSF1A/TNFR1 and TNFRSF1B/TNFBR receptors. Primarily produced by macrophages, it can trigger apoptosis in specific tumor cell types. This potent pyrogen can induce fever either through direct means or by promoting interleukin-1 release. Additionally, it is associated with the onset of cachexia and, under specific circumstances, can promote cell growth and differentiation.
