Target Information

Chorionic somatomammotropin hormone, encoded by the CSH gene in sheep, is a placenta-specific secretory protein. Found in high concentrations in both maternal and fetal circulations throughout gestation, its levels are notably reduced in cases of intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) in both humans and sheep.
