Target Information
Mouse Tryptase (Tpsab1) is a serine protease predominantly found in mast cells, where it is stored in secretory granules. It is involved in various physiological processes, including immune responses and inflammation. Tpsab1 is essential for the degranulation of mast cells, which is crucial for the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators. This process is particularly important in allergic reactions, where Tpsab1 contributes to the symptoms of anaphylaxis. In addition, Tpsab1 has been shown to play a role in the regulation of gene expression in mast cells, with its expression being coordinated by transcription factors such as GATA1 and GATA2.
