Target Information
Mouse Thrombospondin-3 (Thbs3) is a matricellular protein that plays important roles in cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation. It interacts with various extracellular matrix components and cell surface receptors, including integrins, to modulate cellular behavior. Thbs3 is involved in regulating angiogenesis, particularly in the context of tissue repair and development. In mouse models, Thbs3 deficiency leads to defects in vascular remodeling and impaired wound healing. Additionally, Thbs3 has been implicated in the regulation of immune responses and fibrosis, highlighting its multifaceted role in maintaining tissue homeostasis. Its functions underscore the importance of Thbs3 in both physiological and pathological processes.
