Target Information
Mouse Programmed Cell Death 1 Ligand 2, or PDCDLG2, is a ligand related to programmed cell death, involved in immune response regulation. In mouse models, PDCDLG2 is used to study immune checkpoint regulation and immunotherapy potential. As an immune checkpoint molecule, PDCDLG2 interacts with its receptor to modulate the activity of immune cells, preventing excessive immune activation and maintaining self-tolerance. In cancer immunotherapy, the blockade of immune checkpoints has shown promising results in enhancing antitumor immune responses. Research on PDCDLG2 focuses on understanding how its interaction with immune cells can be harnessed to develop new immunotherapeutic agents. By targeting PDCDLG2, it may be possible to either enhance immune responses in cancer patients or suppress pathological immune reactions in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
