Target Information
Mouse Nuclear Factor NF-Kappa-B p100 Subunit (Nfkb2) is a key component of the non-canonical NF-κB signaling pathway, which is crucial for immune regulation and inflammation. Nfkb2 encodes the p100 precursor protein, which is processed into the active p52 subunit. This subunit forms heterodimers with RelB to regulate gene expression involved in immune responses and inflammation. In mice, Nfkb2 is essential for the development of peripheral lymphoid organs and germinal centers. Dysregulation of Nfkb2 is associated with chronic inflammatory diseases and immune disorders. Additionally, Nfkb2 plays a role in cancer progression by influencing the tumor microenvironment and promoting angiogenesis.
