Target Information
Mouse Neutrophil Collagenase (MMP8) is a matrix metalloproteinase that degrades collagen and other components of the extracellular matrix. It is primarily expressed in neutrophils and plays a role in tissue remodeling and repair. MMP8 is involved in processes such as wound healing and inflammation. Dysregulation of MMP8 has been implicated in diseases such as arthritis and cancer. It contributes to tissue destruction in inflammatory conditions and tumor progression by degrading the extracellular matrix.
