Target Information
Mouse Neuromodulin (Gap43) is a neuronal growth-associated protein involved in axonal growth, synaptic plasticity, and neurotransmission. It is highly expressed in developing neurons and plays a crucial role in nerve regeneration and repair following injury. Gap43 is involved in the regulation of ion channels and the maintenance of membrane potential, contributing to neuronal excitability. In mouse models, Gap43 expression is upregulated during periods of active axonal growth and synaptic remodeling.
