Target Information

Mouse Mucin-1 (Muc1) is a highly glycosylated type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the mucin family. It is primarily expressed on the apical surfaces of epithelial cells in various tissues, including the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and female reproductive tracts, as well as in the mammary and salivary glands. Muc1 forms a protective barrier on the cell surface, shielding cells from environmental stressors and pathogens.
