Target Information
Mouse Interferon Regulatory Factor 1 (Irf1) is a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in the regulation of immune responses, particularly in the production of type I interferons (IFN-I) and other pro-inflammatory cytokines. Irf1 is essential for the activation of dendritic cells (DCs) and the induction of IL-12, a key cytokine for Th1 cell differentiation. It also regulates the development and function of CD8+ T cells, enhancing their cytotoxic activity. In addition, Irf1 is involved in the regulation of innate immunity against viral infections, promoting the expression of antiviral genes and enhancing the activation of natural killer (NK) cells. Abnormal expression of Irf1 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
