Mouse Histone H3.3 (H3-3A) is a histone variant that plays a crucial role in chromatin remodeling and gene regulation. This allows H3.3 to be incorporated into chromatin throughout the cell cycle, particularly in post-mitotic cells, where it can replace canonical histones over time. H3.3 is essential for maintaining genome integrity and supporting chromosomal heterochromatic structures.
