Target Information
Mouse Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 Receptor (Glp1r) is a G protein-coupled receptor that plays a crucial role in glucose homeostasis and insulin secretion. It is primarily expressed in pancreatic β-cells and the central nervous system. Activation of Glp1r by glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) enhances insulin secretion, inhibits glucagon release, and slows gastric emptying, thereby regulating blood glucose levels. In mouse models, Glp1r agonists have been shown to improve glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity.
