Target Information
Mouse Gastricsin (Pgc) is a member of the aspartic protease family, involved in protein digestion in the stomach. It plays a significant role in maintaining gastric homeostasis. Pgc is also associated with cancer progression, where it may contribute to tumor invasion and metastasis by degrading extracellular matrix components. Its role in gastric biology and cancer makes it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in gastrointestinal diseases.
