Target Information
Mouse Extracellular Superoxide Dismutase [Cu-Zn] (SOD3) is an enzyme that provides protection against oxidative stress by dismutating superoxide radicals into hydrogen peroxide and oxygen. It is secreted by various cell types and is involved in scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the extracellular environment. SOD3 plays a role in reducing oxidative damage in tissues and has been implicated in diseases associated with oxidative stress, such as neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. It also contributes to tissue repair and regeneration by maintaining a balanced oxidative environment.
