Mouse Epidermal Growth Factor-Like Protein 7 (Egfl7) is a secreted protein containing EMI and EGF-like domains, involved in various biological processes. In cancer, Egfl7 promotes tumor cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis, and is associated with angiogenesis by activating the p38MAPK signaling pathway. It also drives the evolution of resistance to EGFR inhibitors in non-small-cell lung cancer by activating NOTCH signaling and upregulating c-Myc. In normal development, Egfl7 plays a role in vascular morphogenesis and is essential for proper embryonic development. Its dysregulation is implicated in diseases like cancer and developmental disorders, making it a potential therapeutic target.

User Note
