Target Information
Mouse Collagenase 3 (MMP13) is a matrix metalloproteinase that specifically degrades collagen. It plays a role in bone remodeling and is involved in processes such as osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. Dysregulation of MMP13 has been implicated in bone diseases such as osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. It also contributes to tumor progression by degrading the extracellular matrix and promoting tumor invasion.
