Target Information

Mouse Cathepsin K (Ctsk) is a cysteine protease that plays a role in the degradation of extracellular matrix components. It is highly expressed in osteoclasts and is involved in bone resorption. Ctsk has been implicated in diseases such as osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Research indicates that Ctsk may serve as a therapeutic target in these conditions.
