Target Information
Mouse Calreticulin (Calr) is a multifunctional protein primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) lumen, where it serves as a major Ca²⁺-binding chaperone. It plays a crucial role in maintaining ER calcium homeostasis and facilitating the proper folding of newly synthesized proteins. Calr also acts as a transcriptional regulator in the nucleus and influences immune responses and cell adhesion. Additionally, Calr has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.
