Recombinant Mouse Butyrophilin-Like Protein 2 (BTNL2), C-His

Mouse Butyrophilin-Like Protein 2, or BTNL2, is a protein similar to BTN1A1, involved in immune response regulation. In mouse experiments, BTNL2 is studied for its roles in immune cell function and inflammatory responses. BTNL2 is expressed in various tissues, including the intestine, skin, and lymph nodes, and has been implicated in the regulation of T cell responses and the maintenance of immune homeostasis. In inflammatory bowel diseases, altered expression of BTNL2 has been observed, suggesting its potential involvement in the pathogenesis of these conditions. The protein may interact with specific receptors on immune cells to modulate their activation, differentiation, and effector functions. Additionally, BTNL2 has been linked to the development of certain cancers, where it may either promote or inhibit tumor growth depending on the context.
