Target Information
Mouse Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (Ahr) is a ligand-activated transcription factor that plays a crucial role in regulating cellular responses to environmental toxins and xenobiotics. It is involved in the detoxification of aromatic hydrocarbons and other pollutants, as well as the regulation of immune responses and cell differentiation. Ahr binds to specific DNA sequences in the promoter regions of target genes, modulating their expression. In mouse models, Ahr is highly expressed in tissues such as the liver, spleen, and thymus, where it contributes to maintaining metabolic homeostasis and immune function.
