Target Information
Mouse Annexin A1 (Anxa1) is a calcium- and phospholipid-binding protein involved in various cellular processes, including membrane fusion, endocytosis, and apoptosis regulation. It plays a crucial role in anti-inflammatory and immune-modulatory functions by binding to formyl peptide receptors (FPRs) and inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Anxa1 is highly expressed in immune cells and epithelial tissues. In mouse models, Anxa1 deficiency leads to increased inflammation and impaired resolution of inflammatory responses. Additionally, Anxa1 is involved in the regulation of cell migration and tissue repair, highlighting its importance in maintaining tissue homeostasis and immune function.
