Target Information
LSDV141 is a structural glycoprotein essential for the formation and function of the Extracellular Enveloped Virion (EEV). It is a homolog of the Vaccinia virus B5R protein and is primarily localized to the outer envelope of the EEV. This protein plays a critical role in viral egress (exit from the host cell), efficient cell-to-cell spread, and host-range determination. Due to its exposure on the surface of the EEV and its high immunogenicity, LSDV141 is a prominent target for neutralizing antibodies and is frequently used in the development of next-generation subunit vaccines and serological diagnostic assays.
