Target Information

HA is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein on the influenza virus surface, essential for viral entry. It functions by binding to host cell sialic acid receptors, triggering receptor-mediated endocytosis. Subsequently, HA undergoes a low-pH-induced conformational change in the endosome, facilitating the fusion of the viral envelope with the host membrane.
