Target Information
Guinea pig Interleukin-8 (CXCL8) is a pro-inflammatory CXC chemokine that plays a critical role in the immune response and inflammation regulation. CXCL8 is primarily involved in neutrophil chemotaxis and activation, guiding these immune cells to sites of infection or injury. It is synthesized by various cell types, including leukocytes, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells, and exists in both monomer and dimer forms, which can differentially activate its receptors CXCR1 and CXCR2.
