Guinea pig C-C Motif Chemokine 5 (CCL5), also known as RANTES (Regulated on Activation, Normal T cell Expressed and Secreted), is a key chemokine involved in immune responses and inflammation regulation. CCL5 belongs to the CC subfamily of chemokines and is expressed by various cell types, including T cells, monocytes, NK cells, epithelial cells, fibroblasts, and platelets. It binds to receptors CCR1, CCR3, CCR4, and CCR5, with the highest affinity for CCR5.
