Target Information

Goat collagenase 3 is an enzyme that belongs to the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family, which is involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix (ECM) in normal physiological processes and disease conditions. It plays a significant role in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and the degradation of collagen, particularly collagen types II and III, which are abundant in cartilage and other connective tissues. Collagenase 3 is also implicated in the pathogenesis of various diseases, including arthritis, where it contributes to the degradation of cartilage matrix components
