Target Information

In felines, pancreatic polypeptide prohormone (PPY) is a precursor protein secreted by pancreatic PP cells. It is processed into pancreatic polypeptide (PP), which regulates pancreatic and gastrointestinal functions by acting on the Y4 receptor. PP inhibits pancreatic exocrine activity and modulates gut motility and secretion. It also plays a role in appetite regulation and glucose metabolism.
