Target Information

Feline Islet Amyloid Polypeptide (IAPP) is a 37-amino acid peptide secreted by pancreatic β-cells in cats. It regulates glucose homeostasis by inhibiting insulin and glucagon secretion. In felines, IAPP misfolding can lead to amyloid deposits, contributing to type 2 diabetes. It also plays a role in gastrointestinal regulation and satiety signaling.
