Target Information
Feline interleukin-8 (CXCL8) is a potent chemoattractant primarily responsible for the recruitment and activation of neutrophils at the site of inflammation in cats. It is rapidly induced by pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNFα and IL-1β and functions by interacting with specific cell surface GPCRs, CXCR1 and CXCR2. In addition to its role in inflammation, IL-8 is also implicated in angiogenesis, tissue repair, and wound healing by promoting the migration and proliferation of endothelial cells.
