Recombinant Chicken Tyrosine-Protein Kinase CSK (CSK)

Chicken Tyrosine-Protein Kinase CSK (CSK) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, migration, and immune responses. CSK primarily functions by phosphorylating the C-terminal regulatory tyrosine residue of Src family kinases (SFKs), such as LCK, FYN, and SRC, thereby inhibiting their activity. This inhibition is essential for controlling signaling pathways initiated by receptors like the T cell receptor (TCR) and B cell receptor (BCR). In chickens, CSK helps maintain cellular homeostasis and prevents uncontrolled cell proliferation and migration, which are critical for normal development and immune function. Abnormal expression or function of CSK has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
