Target Information
Chicken Neurotrophin-3 (NTF3) is a member of the neurotrophin family, essential for the development and maintenance of the nervous system. During embryonic development, NTF3 expression in the spinal cord increases from E7 to E14. NTF3 is co-expressed with TrkC in the outflow tract of the developing chicken heart. Additionally, NTF3 is present in the ganglion cell layer of the retina and the superficial layers of the optic tectum. These findings indicate that NTF3 plays a significant role in neural development and function in chickens.
