Target Information
Chicken Interleukin-12 Subunit Alpha (IL12A) is a critical subunit of Interleukin-12 (IL-12), primarily produced by dendritic cells, macrophages, and neutrophils. IL12A combines with the IL12B subunit to form the active IL-12 heterodimer, which activates T cells and natural killer cells, promoting interferon-γ (IFN-γ) production and enhancing cellular immune responses. In chickens, IL12A not only participates in immune regulation but also serves as a vaccine adjuvant to enhance the host's immune response to pathogens. Additionally, IL12A is expressed in the gut mucosa of chickens, and its expression levels change in response to Eimeria tenella infection, contrasting with IL-10, indicating its role in regulating the Th1/Th2 balance.

User Note
- Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Avoid mixing by vortexing or pipetting. Reconstitute in 10mM PBS (pH7.4) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.Aliquote the reconstituted solution to minimise freeze-thaw cycles.
