Target Information
Chicken Heat Shock Protein Family A (Hsp70) Member 8 (HSPA8) is a vital molecular chaperone that assists in protein folding, translocation, and degradation, maintaining cellular protein homeostasis. It plays a crucial role in protecting cells from stress-induced damage and is involved in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation and apoptosis regulation. HSPA8 can inhibit the formation of protein aggregates and promote the degradation of misfolded proteins. Additionally, it has been shown to interact with other proteins, such as those involved in viral infections, highlighting its importance in cellular defense mechanisms.
