Chicken E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MARCHF5 is a mitochondrial outer membrane protein that regulates mitochondrial morphology. It controls mitochondrial fission by ubiquitinating proteins like Drp1 and mitofusins. Additionally, MARCHF5 plays a role in apoptosis by regulating BAK activity.
