Target Information
Chicken Adenosine Receptor A1 (ADORA1) is a G protein-coupled receptor that plays a crucial role in regulating various physiological processes, including neurotransmission, vascular tone, and immune responses. ADORA1 is highly expressed in the central nervous system and peripheral tissues, where it mediates the effects of adenosine, a potent endogenous modulator. In chickens, ADORA1 is involved in modulating neuronal activity and has been implicated in stress responses and immune regulation. It can also influence cardiovascular function by regulating heart rate and blood pressure. Abnormal expression of ADORA1 has been associated with diseases such as hypertension and neurodegenerative disorders.
