Target Information

Tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α) is an adipokine and a cytokine. It is a member of the TNF superfamily, which consists of various transmembrane proteins with homologous TNF domains. Exposure of caprine polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN) to vital Eimeria ninakohlyakimovae sporozoites as well as soluble oocyst antigens resulted in up-regulation of TNF-α gene transcription in stimulated PMN.
