Kidney Injury Molecule-1 (KIM-1) is a transmembrane protein that becomes upregulated during the early stages of tubular injury. Measuring KIM-1 levels in the urine of canine patients may detect naturally occurring acute and subacute leptospirosis associated with tubular injury.

User Note
- Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Avoid mixing by vortexing or pipetting. Reconstitute in PBS (pH 7.4) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Do not vortex. Aliquote the reconstituted solution to minimise freeze-thaw cycles.
