Target Information
Canine Interleukin 21 (IL-21) is a cytokine that plays a significant role in immune regulation, particularly affecting T cells, B cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. It is produced mainly by activated CD4+ T cells and NKT cells, and it influences immune function by promoting the differentiation and proliferation of these cells. In dogs, IL-21 is involved in shaping the humoral immune response and has been implicated in autoimmune disorders.
