Target Information
Canine ICOS (Inducible T-cell Costimulator) is a homodimeric immune checkpoint receptor belonging to the CD28/CTLA-4 family. Unlike CD28, it is not constitutively expressed but is rapidly induced on T-cells following activation. By binding its ligand (ICOSL/CD275), it provides essential signals for T-cell proliferation, survival, and cytokine production, particularly IL-10. It plays a pivotal role in follicular helper T-cell (Tfh) differentiation and B-cell antibody production, making it a key therapeutic target for treating canine autoimmune diseases, graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), and enhancing anti-tumor immunity.
