Target Information

Galectins are a family of proteins known for binding β-galactoside residues, playing varied physiological roles. Research indicates that galectin-12, an adipose-expressed member of this family, may be involved in adipocyte apoptosis. In dogs, galectin-12 is encoded by the LGALS12 gene.
