Target Information
In canines, CD40 ligand (CD40LG) is an important immune regulatory protein expressed by activated T cells. It induces the maturation of immature dendritic cells (DCs) and activates immune cells by binding to CD40, promoting B cell antibody class switching, memory B cell development, and germinal center formation. Additionally, CD40LG plays a significant role in cancer immunotherapy. For example, adenoviral vector-mediated CD40LG gene therapy has shown promising results in canine malignant melanoma treatment by inducing T and B cell infiltration in tumor tissues
