Target Information
Canine CD166 antigen, also known as ALCAM, is a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a significant role in cell adhesion, particularly in immune cell interactions and the progression of various diseases, including cancer. In dogs, CD166 is involved in the modulation of cell proliferation, adhesion, migration, and invasion, which are key processes in the development and metastasis of tumors. It has also been identified as a potential marker for cancer stem cells in various types of cancer. The expression and function of CD166 can provide valuable insights into disease progression and may serve as a prognostic marker for certain conditions in dogs.
