Target Information
Canine annexin A4 (ANXA4) is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein that is specifically expressed in certain cells. It plays a role in regulating cellular processes such as membrane trafficking, ion channel regulation, and is implicated in the control of cell growth and differentiation. In dogs, ANXA4 might contribute to these functions, although its precise role may be redundant with other annexins, as suggested by studies in mice where ANXA4 knockout did not affect the development and function of hair cells.
