Target Information

Candida albicans is an opportunistic pathogenic yeast responsible for causing candidiasis, a condition observed globally across various animal species. The cell surface mannoprotein MP65 plays a crucial role in hyphal morphogenesis, surface adherence, and pathogenicity. Due to its high levels of glycosylation, MP65 significantly contributes to the carbohydrate component of the matrix and is likely important for biofilm development and maintenance.
