Target Information

Bovine procathepsin L is the precursor form of Cathepsin L, a lysosomal endopeptidase belonging to the papain-like family of cysteine proteinases. It plays a major role in antigen processing, tumor invasion, metastasis, bone resorption, and the turnover of proteins involved in growth regulation. In cattle, Procathepsin L is involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix components and serum proteins, contributing to physiological processes such as tissue remodeling and immune response.
