Target Information
Bovine pro-adrenomedullin (pro-AM) is the precursor protein for adrenomedullin (AM), a potent vasodilator peptide with a wide range of physiological effects. It is composed of 52 amino acids and has a ring structure with a C-terminal amide. Pro-AM is widely expressed in various tissues, including the adrenal medulla, and is involved in the development and homeostasis of blood vessels and lymphatic vessels. It is also associated with the regulation of blood pressure, inflammation, and immune responses.
